Floor Manager
The Red House Restaurant is a family owned business in the heart of Harvard Square. Located in a historic landmark, am 1800's little red house, this restaurant has proudly been serving the Harvard community for 20+ years. We are looking for a driven, all around positive and experienced floor manager to join our team. This is a full time role with benefits.
As a Floor Manager, You’ll
Be the source of real-time team support, acting as the main point of contact for all Front of House Partners on every shift you lead
Run a smooth operation by using your communication skills between all team members, both Front of House and in the kitchen
Handle day to day restaurant and/or floor operations and provide on-the-floor support including; Assigning server sections, overseeing side work, observing steps of service, and maintaining overall cleanliness/tidiness of the restaurant
Drive sales by maximizing food and alcohol sales
Lead pre-shift trainings and meetings
Keep team members and guests safe, advocating for a safe and healthy work environment
Create an engaged and connected team through coaching, mentoring and personal development
Play a main role in interviewing, hiring and separation of hourly staff members
What You Bring To The Floor
The belief that people are the source of extraordinary experiences
Exceptional floor leadership skills, demonstrated by 3-4 years experience working in high volume food service environments; previous leadership experience needed
The ability to delegate efficiently, excellence in communication and the ability to handle situations that require you to keep your cool
An innate drive to help others succeed, enviable organization, time management and feedback skills and a generosity in sharing your skills and knowledge with your team
Required certifications to responsibly serve alcohol and food safety (ServSafe)
The ability to legally work in the USA (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
Salary Range: 50K - 60k
